Monstera
Sometimes mistakenly called Philodendron, Monstera is actually a separate but closely related genus in the same Araceae plant family. These plants are natively found in the topics of Central America and South America, and there are around 50 described species with many different forms and varieties found in a single species to give them a large amount of variation. In particular, there are a few specific types of Monstera that are highly sought after in the horticultural world including the extremely rare and elusive Monstera obliqua and different variegata forms.
