Philodendron McDowell

Philodendron Dean McDowell is a hybrid of two plants, Philodendron Gloriosum and Philodendron Pastazanum.
Since the Gloriosum is a velvet leaf Philo and the Pasta is a waxy leaf Philo, the Mcdowell has a nice mix of both traits.
This Philo is a crawler and will not climb.

The leaves when mature can reach a width of 3′-4′ so you better have ample room to house a mature specimen.

As with all other plants regular fertilization is a must, we use time release pellets every 3-4 months with a high nitrogen content. Always use as clean water as you can manage such as rainwater, reverse osmosis, spring or distilled. Some tap water can contain harmful minerals that can harm your plants.
