Anthurium Oxycarpum
Anthurium oxycarpum can be found in Central and South America from southeast Colombia to Bolivia and northern Brazil.
This interesting plant is one of the “birds nest” Anthurium species, it grows terrestrially.
In its native land, the dried leaves–which smell fragrantly like vanilla and musk when dried–are sometimes smoked or used as snuff.
Anthurium like to dry out a little in between waterings and prefer a well draining soil such as orchid bark and perlite which is what it is currently potted in.
Regular fertilization, bright indirect light, clean water and higher humidity are the requirements for just about every aroid.
